At the age of 13, Tim Meuleneire decided to become a chef after spending a gastronomic evening in a restaurant with his parents. In 2017, Tim took on the challenge of building Relais & Châteaux Restaurant FranQ from scratch and less than a year later, all of his hard work was rewarded with a Michelin star. His cuisine is Franco-Belgian, seasonal, rather classic, and reinvented. There is no shortage of influences from Japanese cuisine, from the south of France, where he studied and worked, and from the traditional nature of certain Belgian dishes. He is a rather reserved type and usually does not go to the table so as not to invade the customer’s privacy, if you want to compliment him, you’ll have to find the right moment.
