You’ll also explore the bustling historic hub of Naples, the breath-taking ancient Greek temples in Paestum, Alberobello’s “Trulli” (conical rooved houses) and Lecce’s beautiful Baroque architecture. TOUR ITINERARY

Arrive at Naples airport before being privately transferred to your hotel on the stunning Amalfi Coast. Here you will enjoy a refreshing welcome aperitif, before meeting Gennaro, the youngest member of his family of fishermen, who will host you for a welcome dinner. Enjoy a delicious meal on the pier of Cetara, which, untouched by tourist crowds, is widely considered an undiscovered gem of the Amalfi Coast. Overnight at the Grand Hotel Raito.

In the morning, be transferred to Ravello, where you will enjoy a sumptuous cooking class with an authentic Italian “nonna”, who will teach you traditional Amalfitano recipes in a location overlooking the azure blue seas of the coast. After cooking up a storm and eating lunch, take some time to explore the medieval town of Ravello, before heading to the Sal De Riso pastry shop. Here you will meet Chef Sal, the famous inventor of the unique ricotta and pear cake! But don’t eat too much of this delicious delicacy, as in the evening you will enjoy a sea-view dinner solely dedicated to discovering different types of pizza! Overnight at the Grand Hotel Raito.

“See Naples and die” the age old saying goes, and today you will be able to put it to the test, as you head to bella Napoli, the jewel of Southern Italy! Start your visit off at the house of San Gennaro, where you will meet the founder of the San Gennaro Museum, who will tell you various stories about the Saint’s life through the centuries. Then, walk into the heart of the ancient city, tasting the best of local street food along the way, including panzerotti, zeppola, and taralli, finishing up with a glorious pizza in the city it was invented! If you haven’t had enough of delicious cuisine, you’ll continue the food-fest at a pasta factory in Gragnano, before returning to your hotel. Overnight at Grand Hotel Raito.

Drive east and cross the border into the region of Apulia, located in the heel of Italy’s boot. Stop off at the Vannulo factory, which produces the best buffalo mozzarella cheese in the world! Learn about how this exquisite food is produced, and meet the glorious and adorable buffalo who give the cheese its name, before enjoying a tasty lunch in the estate’s gorgeous garden. Next you’ll make your way to the Doric, ancient Greek temples at Paestum, which date back to 600/450 BC and will take your breath away. Then, after this astounding experience, continue to the town of Martina Franca. Overnight at Villa San Martino.

Head for a short visit to the breath-taking town of Alberobello, which is home to idiosyncratic “trulli” style buildings, built with conical rooves. Afterwards, head to a boutique wine producer for a luxurious lunch and wine tasting, which will fortify you for an afternoon visit to the charming village of Locorotondo to taste even more local wine! Then, in the evening, you will be introduced to the delights of Apulian food by an expert chef, who will serve you a delicious meal in the romantic setting of a candlelit “Masseria” farmhouse. Start your day with a guided visit to Ostuni, a hill-top town comprised of a collection of charming white-washed buildings overlooking the endless olive trees of the Valle d’Itria countryside, the Adriatic Sea glimmering invitingly in the distance. Here you will discover the secrets of producing olive oil, as you meet a local farmer and enjoy a lovely lunch whilst surrounded by picturesque olive groves. In the afternoon, you will meet a variety of Apulian winemakers, who will show you around their ancient, mysterious cellars, and then invite you to taste their high-quality wines – accompanied with sumptuous salami, cheese and grilled vegetables of course! But don’t eat too much, as you’ll need to save some room for another sea-view dinner in Polignano in the evening. Overnight in Martina Franca.

Head to Lecce for a guided tour of the town which boasts the nickname “the Florence of the South” due to its breath-taking Baroque architecture. Also a hub of southern Italian cooking, the streets brim with rustic restaurants that serve hearty cuisine accompanied with robust red wines. Enjoy lunch in a picturesque palace before taking some time to independently explore the town. Then, in the late afternoon, continue to a wine estate to taste some spectacular wine and food before sitting down for a traditional dinner. Overnight in Lecce.

In the morning you’ll enjoy a guided tour of Otranto, a village set on a rocky spur on Italy’s most easterly coastline which is home to the 15th Century Aragonese Castle and 11th Century Otranto Castle. Enjoy lunch on a terrace, which will take you on a journey through the staples of Apulian seafood cuisine as you overlook the azure waters that produced your deliciously fresh, fishy lunch! You will even get the chance to meet some local fishermen who will explain the history of the area’s ancient fishing tradition. After filling up with seafood, head back to your hotel to relax, before heading out for an evening visit to a Masseria farmhouse in the town of Cutrufiano, which will be followed by a delicious dinner in the winery.
